As a lifelong athlete, educator and animal lover, Jamie has combined all of these important aspects of his life to create a successful Equine Sports Massage Therapy business in the New England area. Jamie graduated from the State University of New York at Brockport with a B.S. in Physical Education. His degree program consisted of course concentrations in Biomechanics, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology and Sports Medicine. These key disciplines have played an integral role in his understanding, development and overall approach to Equine Sports Massage Therapy.

Jamie earned his certification through Equissage; the oldest equine sports massage therapy program in the United States. Approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), this equine education program has proven to be a solid foundation for the services that Jamie delivers to his clients.  Priding himself on always striving to improve his knowledge base and expertise, Jamie continues to educate himself through a myriad of resources. Most recently, Jamie has completed extensive hands-on training with Jim Masterson, an internationally recognized equine massage professional. Jim was the Equine Massage Therapist for the United States Endurance Team at the 2006 & 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games, and the 2008 FEI World Endurance Championships in Terrenganu, Malaysia.  Jamie promises to continue his education into the future in order to improve and evolve the variety of techniques he has at his disposal to meet the individual needs of his equine clients.

Jamie’s mission is two-fold. The first part is to help educate others about the benefits of incorporating equine sports massage therapy into their horse’s lives. Secondly, Jamie will work passionately  to help your horse feel better, move better, avoid serious injury and meet their performance potential.  Healthy horses do not happen by accident.  Your horse’s health, performance and overall longevity come about from effective communication and a cohesive partnership between owner, horse, trainer and the various equine professionals necessary to meet the needs of these amazing creatures. Veterinarian, farrier, dentist, chiropractor, saddler and your equine sports massage therapist all play a vital role in the health and performance of your equine athlete.  It is an absolute truism that “it takes a village"  to raise a horse. Jamie welcomes the opportunity to be an integral part of your team and to become a positive influence in your horse’s life.
